The Basics
Asynch RPG is a tabletop-style role-playing game designed to be played-by-post on Discord. Players don’t have to be available at the same time and instead check in throughout the day to play. Our goal is to help busy people get in some quality gaming without having to commit to a specific schedule.
We offer several gameplay options including missions, adventures, open-roleplay areas, downtime activities, and character story arcs. Each is optimized for asynchronous play and offers different levels of combat, roleplaying, world building, and character development.
The Setting
The Undoing
The setting is a future Earth devastated by the Undoing. Strange rifts opened all over the world and a gray, smokey miasma flooded through them. The miasma proved deadly to most life on Earth but sustained the things that crossed over with it—beasts, monsters, alien life-forms, and worse.
Enclaves
Humanity regrouped into scattered enclaves and learned how to halt the spread of rifts. There they began the process of pushing back against the horrors of the Undoing and rebuilding civilization.
Characters
You are one of the remarkable few who can not only survive exposure to miasma, but make use of it to do amazing things. It might be a mutation that saved you, or a cybernetic upgrade, or perhaps you're not from Earth at all but want to help.
Your origin story is your own, but you and all characters have one thing in common—you are committed to helping rebuild civilization and push back the horrors of the Undoing.
Character creation is simple making it easy to get into gaming quickly. The progression system offers many different ways to improve your character as you play. No two characters are the same!
