Gameplay Options
Missions
Missions focus on combat but also include roleplay and exploration opportunities. They last three-to-five days and players opt-in based on their availability. Each player takes a couple turns a day (10-15 minutes each). Your teammates will vary from mission to mission, calling for new tactics and providing more varied interactions.
Adventures
Adventures focus on creative and collaborative storytelling, roleplaying, character development, and world building. They kick off with planning where players and the GM set the stage for the adventure to come together. Once gameplay begins players take turns narrating scenes that advance the plot and introduce challenges. An adventure plays out in a couple weeks with players contributing 1-2 scenes per day.
Open Roleplay
Open Roleplay focuses on roleplay and are an opportunity to play your character outside of a specific mission or adventure. Any player or GM can start an open roleplay scene and scenes can be general banter or something more clearly defined.
Character Story Arcs
Character story arcs focus on roleplay and character development and explore an interest the character has or some aspect of their backstory. Most of the arc is between the player and a GM and can proceed at any pace though other characters can become involved. Character story arcs may also feed into missions or adventures.
Downtime Activities
Character downtime is anytime they are not on a mission, adventure, or pursuing a story arc. Realistically, this is the bulk of their time. Downtime activities provide an opportunity to work on character progression with very little time investment from the player. Once an activity is complete the character will earn a benefit of some kind.
